Can I get there from here?

For those of you inclined to drive everywhere...Guadalajara is just over 1,000 miles from the American border at Nogales (just south of Tucson). Check with the US State Department, or Mexico Tourism information for specific details on bringing your vehicle across the border and into the interior of the country.

Still working on final arrangements to drive down since airfare was too high for the four of us. The airlines wanted almost $400 a piece for Yessika, Matthew and I. They were generous enough to let Isaiah travel for free...as long as he sat on someone's lap.

Crazy as it may seem, we are driving down! My mom is flying to Phoenix and one of the maids of honor is flying in from Baltimore and we are turning our minivan into the "Southbound Party Bus!" This should be interesting.

Lots of warnings about travelling in Sinaloa after dark so we'll start out in the afternoon from here and stop over somewhere around Hermosillo or so.

Despite the picture, we will not be travelling on donkey power...unless we drink too much tequila!

Hey, it's only 22 hours from Phoenix! We'll be fine...hopefully.

Our recommendation is that you fly into the Guadalajara airport. Most of the online travel sites we have looked at are pretty equal as far as price goes.

However, this site seems to have the edge by a little bit.

Or you might try Priceline.Com and see if you can get a better deal. You pick the date and flight destination and let them get the best fare.
